It is a rare chance to completely disconnect from a connected world and to reclaim a peaceful, joyful, slow life. Walden, a romantic drawing retreat for artists and foot travelers, is a rare chance: for a week we will live in a remote Alpine valley that is one of the last
places in Europe without any carriageable road.
Val Codera is a beautiful and authentic valley that witnessed the passing of centuries unchanged. If you decide to join this retreat , you will have the occasion to observe the nature in its most spectacular forms and you will seize infinite opportunities to create naturalistic drawings, sketches, graphic notes and little watercolours, all collected in a precious travel notebook.
You will be taught how to draw a landscape but also you will be encouraged to express all the poetry, the sense of wonder or drama that nature can inspire.
This drawing retreat is suitable for everyone, even for those who consider themselves no-hopers: it will be a pleasure to disprove an erroneous belief.
Nature is a generous model and it provides plenty of subjects to beginners, improvers and experts alike. All materials are provided.
As we plan to hike, work outdoors and sleep in a mountain lodge please wear sensible shoes and bring appropriate clothes. Spectacular views come at a cost: we will take a long uphill walk on the first day and a long descent on the last day.
The itinerary is easy but suitable for people who are generally fit. The daily walks can be modified according to the group's shape, still,
some previous experience is recommended for you to enjoy the tour. The trails are very well signposted and you will be accompanied by a certified mountain guide.
